Hospital Accommodation

St James's University Hospital

Single Accommodation
We have a limited number of single rooms available for short term lets of between one night and one month maximum. Rooms are basic, with a bathroom / toilet, kitchen and sitting room shared with one other room which will be occupied by someone of the same gender. The kitchens have a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, full size cooker and washing machine. There is no wi-fi or fixed line internet access in the building.

The rent is £408.19 per calendar month / £13.42 per night. Priority for this accommodation is given, in this order, to:

  1. Trust staff who are on call and need to be on the premises overnight
  2. Staff coming from overseas who do not have a UK address
  3. Locum doctors on a short assignment
  4. Medical students / clinical attachments who do not have a UK address

If you do not fall into a priority group, you are welcome to still apply, but as availability is limited please be aware that your application is unlikely to be successful. 

Family Accommodation
We have a limited number of furnished houses on site. These have a kitchen / diner, living room, two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom. Please note only a limited number of these have showers. There is no wi-fi or fixed line internet access in the houses. These houses are very basic and should be regarded as somewhere to settle into the local area before finding more permanent accommodation. The absolute maximum stay in these is six months and they are only allocated to people with dependants who will be coming to live with them. The rent is £750.00 per calendar month which includes gas, electric and council tax. Priority for this accommodation is given, in this order, to:

  1. Staff coming from overseas, with dependants coming with them, who do not have a UK address
  2. Locum doctors, with dependants, who do not have a UK address
  3. Medical students / clinical attachments, with dependants, who do not have a UK address
  4. Placement students with dependants

If you do not fall into a priority group, you are welcome to still apply, but as availability is limited please be aware that your application is unlikely to be successful.

Leeds General Infirmary

We have a limited number of single rooms available for staff who are on call and need to be in the building. Rooms are basic, with a shared bathroom / toilet and kitchen facilities. These are not suitable for more than a four night stay. These cost £13.42 per night.

We hold listings of rooms, flats and houses available to rent which people have made us aware of in the local area. Please email us on leedsth-tr.residences@nhs.net if you would like to a copy of this.

Residences - How to book

Bookings are taken by email to leedsth-tr.residences@nhs.net If you have not stayed with us before, you will need to complete the registration form and email it to us (reg form attached)

Please note that we cannot accept bookings or give any indication of availability by phone.

Once we have processed your booking, we will send you a confirmation email with details of how to obtain your room key.
