Core and ACCS Anaesthesia Recruitment
Yorkshire and the Humber is a geographically large training region. For this reason we have split into three distinct training locations for the purpose of maintaining a reasonable and limited commute distance for our trainees.
Previously, Yorkshire recruited to Core and ACCS Anaesthesia only once annually, for August intake. However, for February 2020 Yorkshire WILL recruit for the February intake (application end of 2019). This may become a permanent recruitment change in the future
Yorkshire advertises both ACCS anaesthesia and Core anaesthesia at variable quantities. ACCS Anaesthesia is a three year programme, that includes Emergency medicine, Intensive Care medicine, Anaesthesia and Acute Medicine. Core Anaesthesia is a 2 year programme that includes Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia. Completion of either programme will result in a Basic Level Training Certificate in Anaesthesia, and will permit application for Higher Anaesthesia and ICM .
