Sources of Help.
There are a team of people within your specialty that should be able to assist you, if you need any help:
Outside of your School, there are Associate Postgraduate Deans, who are not specialty specific, and who are able to advise on a range of subjects including less than full time training and careers advice.
Meetings with the Associate Postgraduate Deans can be made via the HEE Administrative Support.
I am the Workplace Behaviour officer for the School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Although I am based in the South locality, at the Rotherham General Hospital, I am available as a local point of contact for all trainees within Obstetrics and Gynaecology working within the Yorkshire and Humber region.
My role is to provide advice and support in relation to matters of unacceptable workplace behaviour. Confidentiality is key. I will also work alongside HEE and other School professional support structures, in order to fully utilise relevant resources to provide help and support to all trainees who need it.
I am currently an Educational Supervisor in my hospital and have been a College Tutor; hence I fully understand the requirements and stresses of the training programme. However, as Workplace Behaviour champion, I will have no direct role in any ARCP processes and, therefore, will be able to maintain objectivity and externality from the assessment process.
My email is email@example.com
