Clinical Research Advanced Professional Module (APM)
The following is adapted from RCOG website information in order to provide regional guidance for Yorkshire and the Humber School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees.
Limited opportunities for Clinical Research APM are available for interested Y&H HEE School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology trainees and non-training grades.
The importance of the development of professional, non-clinical skills has been increasingly recognised. Therefore the first of a new suite of optional training modules has been developed, which are primarily non-clinical skills based, and which can be undertaken at any stage of career development from specialty trainee through to consultant level.
The APM is not required to be eligible for CCT. The APM has been designed to support the development of professional, non-clinical skills in a structured training package.
The first Advanced Professional Module (APM) is the Clinical Research APM. It is envisaged that other generic professional modules will be developed in the future.
Please read the APM in Clinical Research: Introduction for general information, as well as:
- How to register for the APM
- How completion of the APM in Clinical Research is signed off
- Who should consider undertaking the APM
To report on progression for your ARCP, please complete the APM progress form (22kb) and upload this to your ePortfolio. Non-progression will not result in an adverse ARCP outcome.
