Geriatric Medicine ST4
Geriatrics in Yorkshire and the Humber
Geriatric medicine (often referred to as 'care of the elderly') is the largest specialty in the UK in terms of consultant numbers.
With society's demographic change and more people living to an old age, the specialty continues to gain both importance and prominence.
In order to assess your suitability for this training programme please refer to the national Person Specifications on the Specialty Training website.
The expected duration of this training programme is 5 years subject to satisfactory progression. The actual duration may depend on the circumstances of individual trainees.
Geriatrics is provided in three geographically distinct rotation: East (based around Hull), South (based around Sheffield) and West (based around Leeds).
