What is Paediatric Training?
The Yorkshire and Humber Paediatric training is a a programme designed to ensure high quality training and enable out doctors to work as effective Paediatricians.
Paediatric training is designed to take 8 years although there are cicumstances and oppurtunites where this can be shortened or exteneded.
Core Paediatric training is completed at the end of ST5. During these 5 years, Trainees will have gained key skills and knowledge in General Paediatrics, Neonatal medicine, Community Paediatrics and a variety of Sub-Specialities.
Prior to completing ST5, Trainees can apply for Sub-Speciality training or continue to enhance their skills and knowledge as a higher specialist trainee to achieve CCT in Paediatrics.
