An Introduction to Arts and Public Health CPD
The use of the arts to improve health and wellbeing has become increasingly mainstream. In the UK, the social prescribing offer, which includes a variety of arts and creative opportunities for patients, is embedded into the NHS Long Term Plan. If you are interested in finding out about the use of the arts in Public Health, this half day introduction is the perfect opportunity. Using both theory and practical examples, the course will give participants an opportunity to explore a range of arts interventions and to examine their effectiveness with different populations and in different settings.
In the session you will:
- Examine the role of arts in the public health setting
- Analyse the impact of arts on health and wellbeing
- Explore practical arts and health methodologies
The course will be delivered online on Tuesday 13th December 2-5pm and costs £50. If you would like more information, or to book your place please use the following link: Arts and Public Health | University of Manchester
