Entry at ST4 level for Paediatric Trainees (with MRCPCH)

Entry at ST3 level for Adult Trainees (with MRCP) - must then spend the ST3 year gaining paediatric experience with 6 months General Paediatrics and 6 months Neonatology (organised by the appointing deanery)

ST4-6 - Core training in paediatric cardiology - experience in Inpatient and Outpatient management of Paediatric Cardiac patients. Specific exposure to cardiac catheterisation, electrophysiology, fetal cardiology and adult congenital heart disease in ST5 and ST6

ST7-8 - Sub-specialty training - focused training for at least 50% of the clinical time in Interventional cardiac catheterisation, Electrophysiology, Fetal cardiology, Advanced Echo, Advanced imaging (CT/MRI), Transplantation cardiology, Pulmonary hypertension management and Adult congenital heart disease. Continuing exposure to General Paediatric Cardiology including on call working
