The Rotherham Foundation Trust wishes to offer a uniqueopportunity to a doctor to work full time as a member ofthe Education Team & alongside the Executive Team. Thispost, offered in collaboration with the Yorkshire & HumberPostgraduate Deanery & the University of Sheffield, willoffer the successful applicant the opportunity to develop asa clinical leader & develop management skills in a 12month out of programme opportunity. The Post Holder will be involved in a number of localprojects both within the Executive & Education Team. There will be exposure to both corporate/administration &clinical leaders & leaderships, giving the Post Holder theunique opportunity to experience & observe both types &possible conflicts.Depending on the background of the successful applicant,there may be an opportunity to work on project specific totheir specialty or job role. This can be negotiated uponstarting.The Post Holder will be expected to attend & update theMedical Education Committee on their work and will beinvited to attend the Education Team’s monthly teammeetings. This will give them exposure to other areas thatthey may not be involved in.The Centre runs a large number of simulation trainingcourses, the Post Holder will be expected to supportsimulation sessions from a clinical aspect as long as it isnot detrimental to any of their own projects.
