Leadership Fellow - Internal Medicine curriculum delivery

This is a fantastic opportunity to influence and contribute to the delivery of Internal Medicine training throughout Yorkshire and the Humber deanery. You will work regularly with senior members of the School of Medicine and engage in a broad range of projects which can be tailored to your educational interests.

The successful candidates will be expected to develop and deliver projects aimed at redesigning group 1 medical specialty programme to reflect the new curricula; and implementing a novel teaching programme for IM stage 2. The redesigned programmes will rebalance specialty and internal medicine commitments in line with the curricula to enhance the quality of the training experience The novel teaching programme will replace the didactic lecture based GIM teaching programme and include simulation courses particularly focussing on human factors training; use of case based learning networks to support acquisition of broader clinical skills, for example in palliative and critical care; web-based resources to support learning in acute care; and learning through collaborative reflection.The recently launched updated IM quality criteria will be central to the project output.

The fellows will be encouraged to take an active role in the Future Leaders Programme and will be supported to complete a 1 year qualification tailored to their needs.
