This post offers a current trainee the opportunity to develop skills in leadership, quality improvement and service transformation whilst working in the innovative and rapidly evolving field of digital pathology. The Northern Pathology Imaging Cooperative are positioned as pioneers of evidence based digital pathology, generating a steady stream of academic papers, and is directly influencing national and international guidelines and policy. The successful applicant will work on the regional rollout of digital pathology working closely with clinical and laboratory staff at departments throughout West Yorkshire as well as clinical leaders from the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance, academic and industry partners. This may include workflow analysis and lean improvement suggestions, developing staff engagement activities and formulating best practice strategies for laboratories and pathologists.
