TPD - Foundation

An outstanding individual is sought to fulfil the role of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (South Yorkshire). 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Postgraduate Medical Education Team to be responsible for the overall management and quality control of the Foundation Programme. This may be the F1 or F2 programme or coupled F1/F2 programme.

The successful candidate will be a licenced medical practitioner at Consultant/qualified GP level who is familiar with teaching and training foundation doctors. Applicants are encouraged to discuss the post with their Clinical Director with regard to capacity in their job plans.

You will report to Dr Alison Cope, Director of Postgraduate Medical Education and be expected to deliver on the key outcomes of this role, which are outlined within the job description.

The post will be available on the basis of a secondment arrangement to HEE YH remunerated on the NHS Consultant Pay Scale – 1 PA per week. 

All work undertaken is to be incorporated into the Consultant Job Plan.

This is a HEE YH wide role and the successful candidate will have knowledge of all rotations and trainees. They will be expected to cover for the other TPDs during periods of absence.
