ACCS Emergency Medicine CT1 - Round 1.
Acute Care Common Stem (Emergency Medicine) in Yorkshire and the Humber
ACCS is a 3 year core level training programme. It is the only core training programme for trainees wishing to enter higher specialty training in Emergency Medicine. The first two years are spent rotating through Emergency Medicine (EM), General Internal Medicine, Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine (ICM). The third year is spent providing training that will ensure the trainee meets the minimum requirements for entry into Emergency Medicine.

The expected duration of this training programme is three years subject to satisfactory progression. The actual duration may depend on the circumstances of individual trainees.
Please note, in 2015 applicants have the opportunity to accept a post as a run through training post or a core training post. This will be offered as part of the preferencing and offers process. Please see the National teams website for more information on this.

This recruitment process is for posts commencing August 2017.
Deferments of posts that have been offered are possible but are restricted to only those listed within the Gold Guide; therefore it would only be possible to defer an offer if your reason was a ‘Statutory’ reason, such as ill health or maternity leave. If you are offered a post but do need to defer, we ask that you contact the LETB as soon as you can after the offer has been accepted.
Rotation Details
Each trainee will complete 6 six month placements. Rotations take place in August and February although rotations may take place at other times depending on the needs of trainees and the training programme.
