Welcome to Sheffield and Barnsley GP Training Scheme

 

The scheme came from ther merging of Sheffield and Barnsley GP Training schemes. Posts are usally based in either Sheffield or Barnsley but teaching is joint.

The scheme aims to help registrars acquire the knowledge, skills and attributes required for modern General Practice. We encourage participants to take responsibility for their own learning in training posts and GPSTP groups. A wide variety of hospital posts and general practice placements are available

Sheffield is famous for its culture, music and sporting heritage.

For those of you wishing to escape the city life, the magnificent  surrounding countryside is just touching distance away.
