The Post-CCT GP Trailblazer fellowship, is an innovative health equity-based leadership fellowship for GPs in their first 5 years after qualification
GP Practices can apply for funding for GP trailblazer programme fellowship roles to help reduce health inequalities in their area.
The funding is available to practices as a contribution to meet the costs of 2 sessions per week of protected study / professional development time (up to £22,567) for a maximum of 12 months. Fellows can apply for a limited budget to support additional training and projects, and to cover travel- it is anticipated that this year this will be £500 per fellow (£250 to cover travel and £250 for self-determined CPD/project support).
In Yorkshire and Humber, practices whose populations experience high levels of socioeconomic deprivation or those serving marginalised groups can apply for our innovative and exciting Trailblazer scheme, with a fantastic programme of education and support.
The organisation hosting the fellowship will be expected to advertise the post, appoint to the post and meet the cost of employing the fellow for the remaining clinical sessions in addition to any additional sessional or on-costs above the £22,567 for the trailblazer sessions which may occur.
Detailed guidance is available under the 'documents' section below.
