I am a locum Consultant Psychiatrist in Rehabilitation Psychiatry at the Longley Centre, Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Trust. My special interests are treatment-resistant schizophrenia, the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) for patients who lack capacity. I deliver teaching sessions to junior doctors and ward clinical staff on these topics, including the most recent (2014) amendments to the DoLS.
