Associate Specialist in Anaesthetics and Pain

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust
Associate Specialist
2015

I am an Associate Specialist in Anaesthetics and Pain at the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Community Pain Management Team, the Humber Foundation NHS Trust and Lead Physician with the Community Pain Management Team and CHCP Nurse Specialist Team. My special interests are chronic pain management in the community, pain pathways, central sensitisation, the analgesic ladder, the medical model of pain and the multidisciplinary approach of chronic pain management. I completed an MSc in Pain Management at Leicester University in 2009. Since then I have been involved in the community chronic pain management pilot project and have started working with two community pain management teams, dealing with various generalised pain issues such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. We accept referrals from all specialties including rheumatology, neurology, orthopaedics, general practice, secondary care and also from other community teams.
