Welcome to the School of Emergency Medicine in Yorkshire and the Humber.

 

We would usually be looking forward to meeting you all in person in August, however due to the COVID pandemic we are unable to hold our usual regional induction as a large group, so instead we have developed a remote induction package. This consists of a combination of pre-recorded core content presentations, followed by timetabled small-group Q+A sessions hosted by your Training Programme Directors.

 

Please take time to watch the core content sessions – these will explain the basics of how the region and the training programme functions, and introduce you to some of your important points of contact. They will also run through some important information from your peers and guidance on the eportfolio. It is vital that you watch these prior to the Q+A meetings, as they should answer most of your questions.

Dates for the Q+A meetings with your TPD will be published below, and will be emailed out in advance to trainees. Ideally we would expect your hospital to release you for these meetings if you are scheduled to work, but we may be able to record the session and post on this page later.
