One-day Leadership course for ST1-4 (12, 16, 19 March 2018)
Following on from a piece of work lead by the Leadership Academy looking into leadership development opportunities for junior doctors, we are pleased to announce that we are piloting a fantastic opportunity for a group of ST1-4s (and ACPs) to attend a one-day leadership development course in March 2018. HEE in Yorkshire and the Humber currently offers courses for junior doctors later in their training to support the development of management and leadership skills; we continually receive feedback from participants that they wish they had had the opportunity to develop leadership skills earlier in their training.
There are limited places available, further details about the course are attached and trainees can book onto the courses via our online booking system, Maxcourse, here.
Faculty development day – Leadership skills for your trainees and ACPs (21 March 2018)
We are also running an event for those who are interested in how to develop leadership skills in others, why it is so important, and how you could incorporate them into your teaching programme (e.g. for trainees in their early years of training, or Advanced Clinical Practitioners looking to further develop their skills). Again, further details are attached. Please follow this link to book your place, and please pass this on to colleagues who may also be interested, including TPDs, ESs, CSs, and more senior trainees with a particular interest in leadership development.
