On this page you will find details of all 2019-2021 FP Programmes.
The spreadsheets on this page show the Yorkshire and Humber Foundation School (YHFS) 2 year linked Foundation programmes for FY1 2019 – FY2 2020. (West, South and North Yorkshire and East Coast). These are made up of 6 x 4 month placements with 6 different specialities including a Community Placement, GP and/or Psychiatry, in line with the requirements of the UK Foundation Programme Office (UKFPO)
These are the programmes as they are currently advertised on Oriel from the upload on the 17th September 2018.
We are reviewing some of the individual programme placements (4 month blocks) as there are still a small number that need to have their placement specialities and sites confirmed by the trusts.
We are also looking to introduce 18 Longitudinal Integrated Foundation Training (LIFT) posts for the August 2019 cohort, so these post programme placements will also change in the very near future and will be highlighted once agreed with the Trusts and GP practices. We will also be putting some more information about the posts on the website very soon.
The programmes on the spreadsheets and Oriel are currently indicative of the programmes you are applying to for August 2019.
Programmes are always subject to change for a variety of reasons e.g. supervision issues, service reconfiguration, training issues, quality reports and trainee feedback.
These issues generally only affect a very small number of the placements within a very small number of the programmes in Yorkshire and Humber. We will try to advise of any changes as soon as we can. Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, some changes can happen quite late, however, all of our programmes are designed to make sure you achieve your Foundation competencies and successfully complete your Foundation training.
Yorkshire and Humber Foundation School (YHFS)has over 560 Foundation programmes and 66 Academic programmes which amounts to over 1600 4 month FP FY1 & FY2 placements and 198 AFP FY1 & FY2 placements over more than 20 trusts.
