GMC - Certificate confirming Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) applications through Article 14

The General Medical Council have developed a system whereby SAS doctors can apply under Article 14 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order for a CESR. This would apply to staff that have not completed a specified training programme.

GPs who have not followed a GMC approved training programme can apply under Article 11 of the Order for a Certificate confirming Eligibility for General Practice Registration (CEGPR)
The GMC website has some key documents and criteria in relation to this.

Generic Skills Training Provision

We have commissioned a suite of modular courses to enable trainers (consultants and SAS doctors) and trainees to develop their generic skills. These courses are available as blended learning, consisting of on-line and face to face delivery.
