Sheffield Women in Medicine.

Tuesday, February 10, 2015 | SWIM

Last year, on the 21st October, SWIM ran a hugely successful event entitled 'The Need to Lead - what’s your role?’. Please see event flyer for further details about that event.

Sheffield Women in Medicine (SWiM) is a network that was launched in 2013 by a group of doctors and academics from Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Sheffield. Designed to inspire women in medicine, SWiM are committed to developing ways in which women in all specialities can be supported to unlock the full potential of their careers.

SWiM hopes to inspire and motivate women in medicine at all levels of their careers to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential through peer support and mentoring opportunities. SWiM aims to increase the visibility and recognition of women in medicine locally by highlighting successes through networking events and formally acknowledging individual achievements.

The network is open to all who are training or working in medicine and related academia, with support from the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Sheffield, Health Education England - Yorkshire and the Humber and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
