Our annual symposium entitled General medicine: clinical cases and conundrums, organised by the Trainees & Members' Committee of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh brings you a programme packed full of clinical cases and interesting conundrums, designed to challenge you whilst refreshing your general medical knowledge. In todays ageing population where the pressure for medical care and admissions has never been greater, we have designed this symposium to give you interesting case based interactive updates on major specialties that you are likely to encounter at the front door. Specialties covered include, general medicine, acute medicine, care of the elderly, cardiology, radiology, endocrinology, palliative care and intensive care.
The programme will include our Forty-first Croom Lecture and the day will end with the very popular clinical lessons session which will be delivered by collegiate members as well as foundation doctors and medical students. The closing talks will be given by the prize-winners of the Royal Medical Society Student Symposium and Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh Journal Prize.
We look forward to welcoming you to the College for an interesting and educational day.
