Quality improvement (QI) in healthcare is the drive towards excellence in clinical effectiveness, patient safety and patient experience. Rather than simply achieving the standards which are set for us by our regulatory bodies, QI encourages us as healthcare professionals to push past these standards and aim higher, an attitude which we are keen to foster in Yorkshire and the Humber.
Our aim in running this conference is to give all healthcare professionals the opportunity to showcase their improvement projects, to establish a regional network for QI and foster greater collaboration. Our vision is to run a multi-disciplinary QI conference accessible to all healthcare professionals working across the Yorkshire and Humber region. The program will include keynote speakers both from healthcare and industry with expertise in improvement work, and the opportunity for poster and oral presentations for delegates.
It is often difficult with busy schedules to have the opportunity for a gathering of like minded professionals. In organising the conference we hope to attract motivated individuals from across the region and give them the opportunity to be part of a steering group for the creation of a regional QI network.
